The City of Yoakum utilizes a web-based system for surplus equipment in an effort to streamline
the bidding process. Bids may be submitted online by visiting

Surplus equipment may be placed on the site periodically, and may be viewed and bid on by the
public at any time on an auction-basis.  Surplus items not placed on the website
will be published in the newspaper and notices sent via U.S. Postal service to those bidders on
the City’s bidders list as outlined by State statutes.

Below is a list of items currently posted on as City of Yoakum surplus equipment.  
We encourage you to visit the website often to view any newly listed items up for bid.  All items
shall be sold “as is”.  Sales tax will be added to the bid amount at the time of payment on all items
other than vehicles.  

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.  
Successful bidders are expected to honor the submitted bid amount.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, 808 South HWY 77-A, PO Box 738
Yoakum, Texas 77995,    until 3:00 P. M. Thursday, December 12, 2019   for the demolition of
certain properties as ordered by the Building and Standards Commission.  All bids should be in
a sealed envelope with “DEMOLITION BIDS” written on the envelope.

Hwy 77-A, PO Box 738, Yoakum, Texas 77995 or by clicking the link above.  Information

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in
bidding and to accept the proposal or proposals deemed most advantageous to the City.

Well 6A Rehabilitation Project

The City of Yoakum is accepting sealed proposals for repair and/or maintenance work on the City’s
Brushy Creek Well No. 6A and the pumping equipment in the well.  The well is located at the
Brushy Creek Pump Station on Water Works Road.

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk at Yoakum City Hall, 808 US HWY 77-A South,
PO Box 738, Yoakum, Texas 77995, until 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Bid envelopes
should be clearly marked “Brushy Creek Well No. 6A Rehabilitation Project.” Any proposal received
after the stated date and time will not be considered.

Said bids will be publicly opened in the Conference Room in City Hall and read aloud. Bids will be
reviewed and may be presented for award to the City Council at their meeting of January 14, 2020.

The information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Payment
Bond, and other contract documents will be available for examination beginning November 27,
2019 at the Yoakum City Hall. Copies may be obtained from the office of the City Clerk.

Each bidder must deposit with his bid, form and subject to the conditions provided in the
Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date
of the opening thereof.

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding
and to accept the bid or bids deemed most advantageous to the City.
