The City of Yoakum utilizes a web-based system for surplus equipment in an effort to streamline
the bidding process. Bids may be submitted online by visiting

Surplus equipment may be placed on the site periodically, and may be viewed and bid on by the
public at any time on an auction-basis.  Surplus items not placed on the website
will be published in the newspaper and notices sent via U.S. Postal service to those bidders on
the City’s bidders list as outlined by State statutes.

We encourage you to visit the website often to view any newly listed items up for bid.  All items
shall be sold “as is”.  Sales tax will be added to the bid amount at the time of payment on all items
other than vehicles.  

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.  
Successful bidders are expected to honor the submitted bid amount.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, 808 South HWY 77-A, PO Box 738
Yoakum, Texas 77995, until 3:00 P. M. Thursday, October 8, 2020 for the demolition of certain
properties as ordered by the Building and Standards Commission.  All bids should be in a sealed
envelope with “DEMOLITION BIDS” written on the envelope.

Bid forms and specifications are available by contacting the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 808 S.
Hwy 77-A, PO Box 738, Yoakum, Texas 77995.  Information regarding the project/locations can be

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in
bidding and to accept the proposal or proposals deemed most advantageous to the City.
