The City of Yoakum utilizes a web-based system for surplus equipment in an effort to streamline
the bidding process. Bids may be submitted online by visiting

Surplus equipment may be placed on the site periodically, and may be viewed and bid on by the
public at any time on an auction-basis.  Surplus items not placed on the website
will be published in the newspaper and notices sent via U.S. Postal service to those bidders on
the City’s bidders list as outlined by State statutes.

Below is a list of items currently posted on as City of Yoakum surplus equipment.  
We encourage you to visit the website often to view any newly listed items up for bid.  All items
shall be sold “as is”.  Sales tax will be added to the bid amount at the time of payment on all items
other than vehicles.  

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.  
Successful bidders are expected to honor the submitted bid amount.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, 808 South HWY 77-A, PO Box 738 Yoakum,
Texas 77995,    until 3:00 P. M. Thursday, May 7, 2020   for the demolition of certain properties as
ordered by the Building and Standards Commission.  All bids should be in a sealed envelope with
“DEMOLITION BIDS” written on the envelope.

Bid forms and specifications are available by contacting the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 808 S. Hwy 77-A,
PO Box 738, Yoakum, Texas 77995.  Information regarding the project/locations can be obtained by
contacting Dulce Hernandez or Paul Lilley, Code Enforcement Officers, 361-293-6321.

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in bidding
and to accept the proposal or proposals deemed most advantageous to the City.

The City of Yoakum is soliciting proposals for consultant/management services for grant writing services
for the preparation of GLO CDBG-MIT 2015 and 2016 Floods, and Hurricane Harvey application(s) for
funding flood mitigation projects and planning for future flood events and the subsequent implementation
of the GLO CDBG-MIT project(s) if the City is awarded a contract(s). Section 3 Residents and Business
Concerns, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises
are encouraged to submit proposals.

Please submit one (1) electronic version (CD or flash drive) in .pdf formant and four printed copies of
your proposal of services with a statement of qualifications, résumés of key personnel, references, and a
list of jobs performed under this or similar programs to:

Proposals must be received by the City no later than 3:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2020 to be
considered. The City of Yoakum reserves the right to negotiate with any and all management firms that
submit proposals, as per the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act and the Uniform Grant and
Contract Management Standards.
