CITY OF YOAKUM
USED/SURPLUS EQUIPMENT BID NOTICE

The City of Yoakum utilizes a web-based system for surplus equipment in an effort to streamline
the bidding process. Bids may be submitted online by visiting
www.govdeals.com/cityofyoakum.

Surplus equipment may be placed on the site periodically, and may be viewed and bid on by the
public at any time on an auction-basis.  Surplus items not placed on the GovDeals.com website
will be published in the newspaper and notices sent via U.S. Postal service to those bidders on
the City’s bidders list as outlined by State statutes.

We encourage you to visit the website often to view any newly listed items up for bid.  All items
shall be sold “as is”.  Sales tax will be added to the bid amount at the time of payment on all items
other than vehicles.  

The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.  
Successful bidders are expected to honor the submitted bid amount.
NOTICE OF
DEPOSITORY APPLICATIONS
The City of Yoakum is receiving sealed applications to be the Depository of public funds for the City and City
component unit, Yoakum Economic Development Corporation.  Information and application forms are available
by contacting the City Clerk Theresa Bowe, at City Hall, 808 Hwy 77A South, Yoakum, TX  77995.
Applications will be received until 3:00 P.M., Thursday, August 27, 2020.  All sealed bids shall be mailed or
delivered to the City Clerk, PO Box 738 (808 Hwy 77A South), Yoakum, Texas 77995. Bid envelopes must be
sealed and state “Depository Bid” on the outside of the envelope. Applications will be publically opened in the
City Council Room. Tabulations will be made and referred to the City Council for consideration at the regular
Council meeting, held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
The City of Yoakum reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in bidding, and
to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City.
